(If you want the full back story on how I first got to know Nicole – read back on their ‘engagement’ session here.)
My heart is all warm and fuzzy just thinking about these two and their love for one each other. I’m not sure where really to start, or how to explain it… Theirs started out a young love, the kind that takes over your whole life… going through changes, ups & downs, growing together, and weathering the storm. Their love is strong and deep, and the kind that makes your heart ache. At the same time it is light hearted and goofy… always full of laughter. It is a quiet love… seen in the way they look at each other and hold each other close, and it is a fun love… the way Ronnie always gives Nicole a hard time – never ceasing to make her laugh. Most of all – it is a beautiful love… something really amazing to witness and be around.
Nicole and Ronnie were married last June in a small ceremony, so this celebration was a renewal of their vows – this time in front of all their family and friends overlooking a stunning view of rolling hills and trees as far as you could see. Not a detail of the day was overlooked, and everything so perfectly screamed “Nicole + Ronnie”… from the casual, laid-back vibe, to the mason jars and burlap… from the family photos hanging in memory of loved ones, to the lanterns released at dusk… it was all perfectly them.
Nicole & Ronnie ~ It was an honor to document this next piece in your love story, and to see you renew the promises you made to each other a year ago. I still can’t believe it didn’t rain even with the 80% chance of shower all day! God was smiling on you that day, and will continue to do so throughout your marriage. I hope you cherish these images and hold them close in the months to come when you two will be far apart while Ronnie is deployed to Afghanistan. I just know that someday, 30, 40, 50 years down the road, you’ll sit side by side and page through these photos… smiling at each moment, squeezing the other’s hand, and remembering when you were so young and the distance seemed so far… and it will be worth it. Because there you’ll be… together. xoxo.
Ronnie was all smiles waiting for Nicole before the First Look! I love the joy of these moments below!!
You can tell Nicole is a photographer as well and values portrait time! She gave us so many opportunities to take portraits of them – it was a photographer’s dream!!!
Love this shot James got through the trees…
Oh Nicole… just stop! 😉
Miraculously, the rain stayed away so they could have their outdoor ceremony as planned!
Not one detail was overlooked! The tent was dripping in beautiful, personal details!
Then her dad brought his ’57 Chevy out for us to play with!!!
Sending lots prayers for a safe & speedy deployment for you Ronnie, and for strength & patience during his time away for you Nicole!! So much love to you both!!! XOXO!
