I know not many people look forward to snow the way I do, and many people have places to drive to through this storm that is coming (drive safely!!)… but I, on the other hand, am not ashamed to say —
I. LOVE. SNOW.
I love it even more now that we’re full-time because we rarely have anywhere to go during winter (when it normally snows, obviously) – so we are able to enjoy the snow the way it is meant to be enjoyed – bundled up playing outside in it, or cuddled up cozy on the couch watching it fall from the warmth of home. 🙂 It also helps that Chloe is OBSESSED with snow. She could play outside in it all day long and never get cold or tired. It’s amazing, and pretty adorable – if I do say so myself.
Oh – and of course I should mention that if this storm comes the way it is supposed to in the next couple days – James and I can FINALLY take our self-timer holiday card photos!!!! (Since I promised James we would take them in snow this year… haha. Little did I know it would take so long for that to happen!!!)
Anyway – the snow hasn’t hit Chicago yet… so all I can do is dream of it at the moment, and go through old photos of winters past – like the one below. 🙂
“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment, then where is it to be found?” ~ J.B. Priestly
Everybody stay safe and enjoy the beauty of the season – I know we will be!
