I keep telling myself I’m going to be better about keeping up with personal posts and then they keep falling by the wayside! Ah! I’m sorry, friends!! So here I am – determined to share some photos from our Halloween celebrations this year!! We happened to be up in Wisconsin in my hometown during our first Saturday off from weddings in 11 weeks (since early August!) because I had mini sessions scheduled for that Sunday in Madison – so of course we had to take advantage of the quiet Saturday and fill it up with some fall goodness!!
We had originally planned to head to The Little Farmer (my favorite fall staple back in WI), but trick-or-treating fell on the Saturday we were home AND it was so so sooooo cold and windy that day – that I just didn’t think driving all the way to Little Farmer just to freeze the boys’ butts off was the best idea. So instead we hit up some houses in the boys’ awesome homemade dinosaur costumes (thanks to Nana!) for their first time ever trick or treating, and then opted for some caramel apple eating and pumpkin carving instead!! The boys loved carving the pumpkins (though Gabe perhaps enjoyed eating the bag of pretzels from trick-or-treating better …. in typical snack-loving Gabe fashion!! haha), and warmed up to the idea of trick-or-treating after the first house! 🙂
Here are some real camera photos I snapped of our cuties enjoying some fall goodness back in my hometown!!
I’m so happy we managed to enjoy some of the seasonal fun even in the midst of our busiest season!!
. . . .
p.s. I hope to do some retrospective posts about this past summer/fall in more Tidbits posts soon!!!
