James and I spent the most wonderful weekend with Abby and Brian for their recent Dubuque, Iowa wedding!! We came in on Friday and documented their gorgeous rehearsal dinner at Gallery C, where we got to know their family and close friends. Then on Saturday we spent the entire day by their sides documenting their absolutely stunning wedding!! By the time we hit the road back to Chicago on Sunday we felt like we were part of both of their families!! It was so, so wonderful!
Abby and Brian are some of the sweetest people we have had the pleasure to work with and now call our friends! We’ve gotten the chance to really know them over the course of the last year where I’ve seen them at shoots and again at our client party! 🙂 Brian and James hit it off pretty much immediately (which Abby and I knew was going to happen!), and I knew Abby was my kind of girl from the start! She is so sweet and modest (with no reason to be – this girl is gorgeous!), and I pretty much want to steal her entire wardrobe and accessory collection. 😉 But even better than the two of them apart – is the two of them as a couple. These guys have been together since they were 15 & 17 years old!!! They have spent a decade by each other’s sides and now will spend the rest of their lives continuing to be the other’s biggest supporter.
Their wedding day was nothing short of perfection (which did not surprise me in the least)! They have impeccable taste, and the entire day was just so classy, and so beautiful. Everything was nautical themed with navy, white, and pale pink mixed in. Abby was so prepared she even brought fabric that matched the wedding colors for me to shoot her details on during prep photos!! I mean – if everybody could do that – that would be amaaaazing! 😉 But enough chit chat about all of it – you’re really just better off getting to the photos (of which there are MANY)! 😉
Abby & Brian – Thank you so much for having us be a part of your day and for treating us like gold throughout this process!! You spoiled us rotten in Dubuque and we totally fell in love with that quaint little city (& your families/friends)! You two are such an amazing couple and such an inspiration to witness together! We know you will have decades upon decades of joy together throughout your lives! And we must head out for sushi and drinks when you get back from Greece!!! 😉 Congratulations again!
