Oh my gosh you guys… I shot this engagement session right before we left for Hawaii and it was the first weekend that the weather REALLY TURNED on us in Chicago. It had been chilly prior to this – but that weekend was the first where it was flat out COLD. Thankfully Stacy and Joe are amazing and were up for anything! We started the session indoors at their apartment building (which thankfully is gorgeous and offered us a ton of options indoors!), and then we bundled up and headed out to the skyline view at North Avenue to wrap it up at sunset in the crazy windy Chicago weather!
These two are SO sweet together and I had the best time with them during this session! I knew we’d hit it off no problem since Stacy and I felt like old friends (or college roomies… Go Badgers!!!) in our initial meeting over coffee! She told me all about why she loved Joe and when I met him I saw all the things she mentioned come to life. They are both so good to each other, and always keep the other smiling. 🙂 After spending the afternoon with them getting to know them better (and seeing how crazy photogenic they are!) I’m even more excited than I already was for their big day at Chicago Botanic Gardens this coming summer!
