James and I just arrived home last night from our whirlwind trip to D.C. for the Inauguration! I have so many thoughts and feelings about the entire experience that I can’t wait to share. But for today while I settle back in to work, respond to my inbox full of emails, and upload the photos from the trip – I thought I’d post a quote to hold you guys over until the full post about the trip tomorrow.
We visited the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial the night before the Inauguration and the energy around it was unbelievable. I couldn’t keep it together as I watched all ages of people taking it in… from the littlest of kids, to their parents and grandparents… it was just so moving to witness.
