Sometimes I forget the old adage, “Less is More.” I especially forget this when it comes to blogging. I often feel like if I’m not writing a long, soul-baring, insightful post – then I’m not really posting anything worthwhile. But then James reminded me that sometimes less is more – including in this instance!
He smartly suggested that since I’m so busy catching up on editing and out & about shooting this fall – that I should maybe occasionally just post short & sweet blogs. Since I’ve been a quote collector my whole life (I have a journal I started as a child that I keep my favorite quotes in) – it seemed natural for me to share quotes that move me, or get me thinking… Something we can all enjoy, but that doesn’t bog me down writing for hours a day when I should really be focusing on editing, and keeping the business running behind the scenes.
So, given James’ suggestion – I’m going to do my first post of this kind today, and hope to continue with one every week or so if people seem to like them! Come off-season, I’ll have a lot more hours a day to fill with mile-long blog posts (and I’m sure I’ll still post them here and there… just not every day). But for now I need to prioritize the few hours I have at home each week – because I want serving my clients the best I possibly can to be the number one priority around here. 🙂 I hope you understand! (And I hope you grow to love these little quote posts!) 🙂
