To say I was ridiculously excited when Tina and Derik contacted me about photographing their elopement at Olive Park in Chicago would be a serious understatement. I’ve been itching to shoot an elopement for a while now – so I was over the moon excited about it when they contacted me! Then, I met them in person – and after seeing how down-to-earth, and sweet they are (not to mention gorgeous!!) – I somehow managed to get even more stoked about being a part of their intimate wedding day. Just Tina, Derik, the officiant, and me.
I felt so blessed to be the one to document these two as they promised their forevers to each other. To be the one witnessing Derik tear up as Tina spoke words from her heart to him. To see them laugh and hold hands anxiously – ready to be married. Ready to say I do to each other, forever.
Officially married!! Yay! And then they took a moment to say a few words to each other… so sweet.
Then we wandered around Olive Park for some photos – which is a hidden gem in Chicago apparently! I’ve walked/driven past it a million times and never realized it was there – so pretty!
Oh Derik – you are one lucky man – your wife is STUNNING!!!
Then we strolled over to Navy Pier for a few more shots… I loved all the looks they were getting! 🙂
