I photographed these two cuties (who are expecting their first baby) just this past Saturday, three weeks ahead of Diana’s due date, and then found out that she went into labor today – over 2 weeks early!
Good thing we got this shoot in when we did – because Ella was apparently in a hurry to get out into this world! It looks like I’ll be seeing her for the newborn shoot much earlier than we had originally thought – and I’m a-okay with that. 🙂
We spent the late afternoon on Saturday taking some photos around Diana and Craig’s home and then headed to a park/dog beach along Lake Michigan for the rest of the shoot. It was a simply gorgeous day with some very beautiful *magic hour* light that I couldn’t get enough of… Lovely!
Here are some of my favorites from the day: (Oh – and just so you all are aware – we never posed their dog for any of the pictures – she’s just SO protective of her pregnant mommy that she would not leave her side! So cute!)
While we were shooting this series two guys came up and asked if they could play Diana a song – of course we said Yes! 🙂
This next series really cracks me up. Nearly immediately after arriving at the dog beach I set Diana and Craig up for the first pose and out of no where – all these dogs came up and ran in between and around the two of them! It was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen – and hilarious! 🙂 I’m guessing dogs can sense when a woman is pregnant and wanted to come check Diana out (my only guess)…? Whatever the reason – it made for some funny moments! 🙂
And just as quickly as they came… they were gone… 🙂
Congratulations you two! I’m sure by now the lovely Ella has arrived! 🙂 I can’t wait to meet her… xo!
