What an amazing way to kick off our 2018 wedding season!!! Sam + Jim are truly so down to earth, humble, and SO much FUN!! It was certainly out of their comfort zone to be the center of attention all day – but they just focused on each other and all the love around them and had the most beautiful day!! It was truly the perfect day for a winter wedding – a fresh blanket of snow had fallen all over Chicago (we’re talking a foot or more!) and it made for the most beautiful winter wedding photos!! (Clearly I loved it!!) But more important than all the snow, perfect details and lovely decor – were the families and friends at the heart of this day. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Reidy and Simons families. It is obvious how Sam and Jim are such amazing people – because they have such strong families supporting them and rooting them on their whole lives! From their core people – parents, siblings, all the way out to their aunts/uncles/cousins and grandparents. It was so amazing to see them all come together and just wrap these two in so much love!! It was also so much fun to see their parents soak in the day alongside them (and I particularly loved Sam’s dad following she and her sisters around with his video camera all morning during prep photos)!! I could just picture their childhood with their proud papa always with his camera – documenting every little milestone. What a surreal moment it must have been for him to now be documenting his oldest daughter’s big day! I loved it!
Sam & Jim ~ Thank you so very much for having us along on this truly perfect day!! You two are such a sweet couple and your love for each other is so apparent to everyone around you. You show your love in all the little ways that really matter and that hold you up through a lifetime together… through the way you look at one another, laugh together, reach for each other’s hands when you’re near, and the way Jim always has a hand on your lower back to let you know he’s right there with you. It was so beautiful to see and we wish you guys all the very best in the years ahead!! We hope you enjoy looking back on these photos as much as we loved being a part of it! XOXO ~ Christy & James 🙂
