I smiled my entire way through editing this gallery because I just love these two and their families and friends SO much! They’ve come to feel like family to James and I at this point and we were looking forward to spending this special weekend with them for a long time! Laurie is not one to enjoy the spotlight or attention, so she and Danny planned an intimate wedding weekend celebration just perfect for them. Their Friday celebration consisted of a wonderfully intimate ceremony at the same church where Laurie’s parents were married years ago, followed by a low-key dinner with their closest loved ones. Saturday was the bigger celebration where they did a quick little mock re-do of their “I Do’s” (which was super funny thanks to their hilarious friend who stood in as the “officiant”) and then they danced into the night with a larger group of their dear friends and family! Two other CTP couples were there, Laurie’s brother, Tim & his wife, Michelle, and Laurie’s high school friend, Val & Lukas!! It was such a fun reunion getting to see some of our favorite couples again and James and I left the weekend just feeling ever so grateful for this heartwarming job we are lucky enough to make a living doing. The amazing people it brings into our life never ceases to amaze me, and Laurie and Danny’s wedding was just another reminder of that.
Laurie & Danny – We truly cannot thank you enough for having us along for your celebration! You two really are like family to us and we are so grateful to have you in our lives!! Your unending trust in us was not overlooked and we thank you so much for that!! Because of you trusting us to just take you “wherever” for your first look and portraits – your photos are some of my favorites we have ever shot!! I still cannot get over the sky that night. I’m convinced it was your loved ones who have gone on before you letting you know they were with you, and it still gives me chills to think about it. We wish you guys all the very best and can’t wait to hang out when things quiet down a bit over here! 🙂 XOXO ~ Christy & James
