I have been looking forward to Ali and Codie’s wedding ever since my first phone call with Ali, when it felt like I was chatting with an old friend, not someone I’d known for just a couple minutes!! And then when I finally met she and Codie for their chilly Chicago winter engagement photos I was even more excited!! It’s hard to explain, but these two just FIT together. They are at such ease together and Codie is always keeping Ali smiling! The way they look at each other just says it all. We were so honored to be a part of their day and amazed at how perfectly it all turned out – even with the most epic thunderstorm in the middle of it all!! We had to move their pre-ceremony portraits indoors, but thanks to how clean and classy the W Chicago – Lakeshore hotel is the suite we opted for as a back-up plan made me start to think we should do more indoor portraits at every wedding!! Oh my gosh – I just loved these photos with the bridesmaids and groomsmen! Then, somehow, as soon as the ceremony was finished the skies cleared and we had the most gorgeous evening for outdoor portraits across the street at Olive Park! There was a bit of a fog in the air and the way the sunshine streamed through it was so dreamy!! But enough chatter – go see for yourself!!
Ali & Codie – THANK YOU for being such wonderful human beings and for the honor of being a part of your beautiful wedding day!! You two are so sweet and we had the best time with you guys!! If we ever get to do fireworks photos with a couple again, I will forever think of you two!! Those may be some of my favorite photos ever! I hope you both love the images and that they make you smile always!! Sending you all our love and puppy cuddles to Max too, of course!! XOXO ~ Christy & James
Congratulations again, you two!!! XOXO
