Hello beautiful people!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful week last week and a very Merry Christmas if you celebrated! We had a fabulous time with family up in Wisconsin (although I was bummed there was no snow!!), and are so thankful for all our loved ones near and far! I have pics from Christmas to share tomorrow, but first I wanted to get this post up since I’ve been itching to share it!!
You all remember James’ oh-so-modest first ever blog post, in which he falsely claimed that I am the superstar in this duo (although what he said about me stepping in and stealing his shots is definitely true… haha). Over the years since James joined me in this crazy venture it has been so, SO amazing watching him continue to improve and grow as a photographer. While he most definitely always has my back (making sure I’m hydrated, lugging all our gear, holding our brides’ flowers, veils, dresses, location scouting, and running any errands we may need throughout the wedding day, like locating the bouquet for photos, or grabbing a coat for someone), he also manages among all of that to capture some truly gorgeous images. I can’t tell you how many times our clients choose his images over mine for their wedding albums or profile pictures on Facebook! (It’s kind of a competition we have going on… haha. But no worries, thankfully we’re in this together and it’s all friendly competition – because obviously we’re happy to have our clients love their photos, regardless of which one of us snapped it! ;))
Anyway, I have lots of year-end posts coming your way – but I feel like James’ work always blends so well into the mix that he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves!! So often people assume what I post on the blog is all mine, when in reality – a lot of it is James’ work – I just don’t tell you that usually because I’d be calling his photos out every couple photos!
So, I give you some of my very favorite photos that my wonderfully talented (& modest) husband took at our weddings this year! Enjoy!
The one below if kind of random but always makes me laugh that he caught this moment! LOL.
Ah!! I am so lucky to have him on my team for business and life!! Happy Monday, everybody! xoxo
