I don’t think I can quite explain how much I love photographing elopements! It’s just such an intimate, beautiful thing to be a part of and I hope I get to do more and more of these! Rachel and David have been together for 14 years, and recently decided they’d like to be married, but without all the hoopla of a big wedding… so an elopement was the perfect thing for them and their sweet dog that they’ve had together since they first met! (I nearly died when they put the beautiful floral collar on her for the ceremony!)
We met at sunrise near Cafe Brauer and South Pond at the Lincoln Park Zoo for this romantic and intimate elopement ceremony. I cried through the entire thing! I really tried to pull myself together, but these two are so sweet together and the officiant, Rev. Marian Hale (who also did Katie & Shaan’s wedding!), said so many beautiful things I just couldn’t stop the tears from coming.
