Shannon and Michael have this quiet way about their love. You can see how much they love one another in the glances they give each other, in the way he fixes her hair if it blows across her face, and in the way she smiles back at him. When I saw how sweet these two were together I decided to make an attempt to extract myself from the situation as much as possible. I wanted to show their love the way it is with them every day – not something I was trying to make it be for photos. And I’m so happy I did because I really didn’t have to say much during this session. I’d find a pretty place with nice light, put them in it, and let them just be. And I love how it came out.
