Other than the first 15 months (which I don’t remember anyway)… Sara has always been in my life.
There’s something about being cousins that is really amazing. It’s the closest thing to being a sister, but without all the fights & irritation that inevitably come with growing up in the same house or sharing a room. 😉 Sara has always been there. We’ve been through playing in my grandma’s yard, climbing trees, making up superhero alter egos, countless holidays, laughing so hard we cried (or peed… haha), sleepovers, adventures, grade school, our first boyfriends, high school, college, saying goodbye to our grandma, our last boyfriends, our weddings, living around the corner from each other, living across the country from each other… and through it all we’ve never changed. We’ve always been the best of friends, but even better – because we’re family.
And now I get to share in this next milestone in Sara’s life – expecting her first baby – due this July.
I had the best time relaxing with Sara and her husband Jeff in their adorable little place in Madison, and I just adore how this session came out. (Although I may be biased since I pretty much think Sara is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever known – inside & out.) These two are so sweet together, and I cannot wait to meet their baby girl soon!
