Where do I start with Amanda and Tim?! First of all – they found me on A Practical Wedding – so I knew right from the start these were mine kind of people! They love dogs (one of their dogs, Mr. Bear, was even in the wedding!), home-brewed beer for their reception, had bride’s yoga & a groom’s run the morning of their wedding, had their first dance to “I Would Walk 500 Miles,” and held their wedding at The Joffrey Ballet in downtown Chicago!
I. KNOW. (If you know me at all – you know that pretty much all of those things match up with things I love!)
On top of that, they are just the nicest people – and were always making sure James and I were taken care of. On their own wedding day – they actually remembered it was my birthday and gave me a gift! I know. Who does that?! (Not to mention it was a designer gray & yellow camera strap! Amazing.) Also, we had seats right with the guests for dinner (which was so sweet), and found out that my brother, Josh, knew 7 of the people we were sitting with (2 of which were some of his closest friends from college)! What a small world! No wonder we felt so at home at this wedding!
But I digress… I can’t let you go to the photos until I talk about how fabulous these two are together. (Sorry!) When you are around them you can’t help but feel the love between them. They clearly make each other SO happy. And while they have so much in common, they also let each other be their unique selves, and encourage each other’s interests outside of the relationship, which is beautiful to see. They are both such strong, wonderful people individually – so it is no surprise that together they are even better.
This wedding day was pure JOY from the very start. James and I had such an amazing time that as we were packing up to leave – I was tempted to stay and bust a move with everybody to the awesome band they had for the night! So much fun!
Amanda & Tim – thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You guys are seriously the best, and I cannot thank you enough for being such awesome clients and friends!
