Heather and I became ‘internet friends’ on Twitter long before we ever met in person, thanks to A Practical Wedding. (I’ve met SO many fabulous ladies through that community – it is amazing!!) So when she contacted me to see if I’d be interested in shooting her Chicago engagement session – I was completely excited because we’d finally get to meet IN PERSON! She and Mike are getting married in Utah this coming year and another awesome APWer, Katie Jane, will be shooting the wedding. (Yay for sharing clients with an amazing person & photographer! Seriously – I can’t wait to see their wedding photos!)
Heather and Mike were so great to work with in sooo many ways. First of all – we had to reschedule our original session because of some CRAZY Chicago storms. Then we finally figured out a day that worked for all of us and the day came – and it said RAIN in the forecast right when we were supposed to be doing a shoot. So, these two (being that they are awesome) were open to moving the session up when I emailed them first thing that morning to go through our options. They literally got ready and met me at the location within an hour’s time so we could avoid the rain and get these photos taken! And let me say – I wouldn’t look 1/2 this good if I had to get ready and run out the door in that amount of time!
Anyway – point being – these two were totally flexible and up for anything… which made the whole experience fabulous!! We met in front of the Nature Museum and wandered all around by North Pond, hit up the Lily Pond, and headed over for some skyline shots by Lake Michigan. AND we avoided the rain. It ended up being a beautiful morning for a session and I’m in love with these two (and these photos)!
I hope you love them too! 🙂
