I’m super excited to share Kelsey & Mike’s engagement session with you guys! Kelsey is from my hometown – though much younger than me, so I didn’t know her well until we met up to chat about wedding photography – but naturally we small-town Wisconsin girls hit it off right away. 🙂 She and Mike are just my kind of people. We chatted over some beers about their wedding next September at The Heidel House in Green Lake, Wisconsin (which also happens to be where James and I were married! Yay!), and talked about adjusting to living in Chicago after growing up in a decidedly polar opposite type of place.
For their engagement session we wandered around a park near the lake front and took advantage of some beautiful wildflowers we found there. Then we headed down to get some quintessential Chicago skyline shots at North Avenue Beach, and finished up the session at the Kinzie Street Bridge. I had a great time, and I think these two look absolutely fabulous! I cannot wait to shoot their wedding next fall! 🙂
