I first photographed this beautiful family a year ago and had such a good time hanging out with them in their gorgeous home. So, naturally, I was totally stoked when Kate emailed me and wanted to schedule another session for this fall!
This time it was early enough in the year that we were able to get outside, wander around their neighborhood and snag some photos wherever we saw a background photo-worthy (which was most of their neighborhood, to be honest)! Photographing kids always keeps me young at heart, and reminds me to enjoy the small things in life and spending time with this family is no different. These two little cuties remind me to take time to laugh, smile, dance, twirl, skip, and – of course – enjoy a lollipop. 🙂

Today I’m thankful for my incredibly helpful and loving husband who always keeps me smiling! Yesterday James headed out to run errands, and grocery shop so I could make a nice dinner for us. While he was out and about he called me just to say hi (which tends to drive me nuts, because I’m not a phone person normally – especially when there is no real point to the call) – so I told him I loved him and rushed him off the phone so I could wrangle the puppy and get back to work. Not even 5 minutes later he called back and when I answered the phone (slightly irritated) he immediately started singing “Can You Feel The Love Tonight…” from The Lion King in a totally goofy singing voice. I couldn’t help but laugh – and then join in – in the most terrible singing voice I could manage… 🙂
