Free ~ Chicago Wedding Photographer

You guys… this weekend is my first weekend without a wedding or session of some sort since Easter. Whoa. I knew it had been a while, but I had no idea until I looked back at my calendar! In the last 12 weekends – I’ve spent 7 of them in Wisconsin, 1 of them in St. Louis, and only 4 of them in Chicago… and I’ve shot sessions/weddings each time. Needless to say, as much as I absolutely love shooting (and being busy, obviously!), I’m a *little* excited to have a weekend of nothingness. (And to be honest – I think my little car could use a break from driving all over the Midwest! haha)

Of course I’ll still be working – and actually hope to knock out a TON of editing this weekend so that I’m caught up before things get crazy again quickly! But I also plan to have some good old R & R… I’m going make a point to sleep (a lot), hit the gym, and plan to join an old friend for some cold drinks on her patio. Yay! The only real commitment I have is an early morning appointment on Sunday at my alma mater to shoot a testimonial video about my experience there and how it helped me get to where I am today with my photography business. (But hopefully that will be quick and painless!)

Other than that? No. Plans. And that sounds just A-OK to me. A weekend free to catch up and take care of myself before diving head first into the second half of the year. Perfect. 🙂

. . . . . . .

And since I can’t leave you without photos, here are a few from the newborn session I did for yesterday’s bride & groom back when their son Braydon was born in October of 2009. I didn’t have a blog back then, so I figured I’d post a few now! (If you’re not sure who I’m talking about, perhaps you should go check out Chrissy & Doug’s wedding from yesterday’s post. I’m *kind of* completely in love with it.)

Happy weekending! xoxo! 🙂
