I first met this beautiful family back in October when they had their first session with me. We had a fabulous time and I was completely smitten with the gorgeous little Maya immediately. (How could you not be?! She’s so adorable!) So when Anita wrote me asking to book a second session this summer – I was absolutely stoked – of course! 🙂
We met for this session at the Lincoln Park Zoo on a very foggy, chilly, Sunday morning. It rained off and on, but the sun peeked out for a teeny bit just before the torrential downpour started and trapped us under the carousel. Ha! Which, it turns out, is a pretty good place to get trapped if you’re going to get trapped somewhere in the rain… especially with a little kiddo. Except for when you put that little kiddo in front of a giant gorilla that she promptly becomes completely freaked out by. Of course there is a photo of it. And it’s adorable and funny all at once…
Maya wasn’t a huge fan of riding on the carousel though… as you can see on the right… (How is she cute even when she’s crying?!)
And then…. the rain.

The swan was much more her style… thank goodness! 🙂
Thanks so much for being complete troopers Kewalramani family! Dealing with fog, chilly temps and crazy, pouring rain wasn’t easy – but you guys rolled with it. And if you ask me, I think it was worth it! I can’t wait to hopefully do it again!! (Maybe next time with better weather for the entire session though!) 😉
