I had so much fun conceptualizing this shoot with these two!! Laney had so many ideas and inspiration for this and I just loved how excited she was about all of it! We ended up landing on doing the shoot close to their home in Chicago at a park that is meaningful to them, and ended with a few cozy neighborhood shots. I loved that this shoot feels like Chicago to anyone who lives here and knows it well, but not necessarily to people who are only familiar with the touristy side of the city. This felt cozy – like home – and the layer of snow I think just added to that vibe!!
I loved finally getting to meet these two and laughing together as we slipped around on the snow to get some of these shots! They don’t take themselves too seriously, they looove dogs, and they love each other even more. I cannot wait for their big day this fall!!
