I’m so excited to share this collaboration with Basic Invite with you guys! I’m going to be honest here for a second – because I have always used the same companies for our holiday cards and birth announcements – I was a bit nervous about switching it up. But now that I did – I’m not sure I can go back!
We used them for Aya’s newborn birth announcements and I’m in love! Basic Invite is SO customizable it really kind of goes against their name “basic” if you ask me! Each template they have is so incredibly easy to customize (think: colors, fonts, text… and you can even move each piece of the design around if you want to adjust where the text is, for example)!
For Aya’s birth announcements that you see below – I chose all the fonts and colors myself. Obviously this is a fun feature for something like a birth announcement, but is even more amazing if you’re using them for your save-the-dates and wedding stationery! If you have a specific wedding color you want to have for your wedding invitation suite – they have over 180 colors to choose from to customize each element! Seriously – I was surprised by this because it is kind of unheard of when it comes to DIY stationery options out there! Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it – down to the littlest detail (which you know makes my Type-A heart happy – haha)!
I wanted to check out their other options as well, so I ordered a couple sample Save the Dates so I could share an honest review with you guys and not just have the singular experience with the announcements. It is safe to say I’m OBSESSED with these clear save-the-dates you see below! I may have used mine and James’ wedding info and date so that I can keep it and pretend we used these for our own wedding (10 years ago this May)! Aren’t they the prettiest?! Oh my gosh.
They have so many options, like photo wedding invitations and save-the-dates to match – along with enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs and even matching thank you cards! The photo save-the-date sample I ordered turned out beautifully and was super customizable as well (like all their stuff). For example, I changed the font size and adjusted where it was so it wasn’t on top of our heads! I’ve seriously never seen anything like this on other sites I’ve used, so I’m pretty excited about the possibilities! Go check out Basic Invite for yourselves and let me know what you think!
