Oh my goodness – from the first inquiry where Shade told me all about she and Victor I was so excited at the possibility of working with these two!! They have the craziest story… apparently they actually met when they were very young and even took a vacation together – as they had mutual family friends – but neither one of them recalled it! Then they met again in college and after becoming friends they quickly knew there was more to their relationship and started to date. Six and a half years of dating, a move across the country to San Francisco together, chasing down their dreams, making new friends, and falling more in love through all of it – these two are truly an inspiration. They are literally SO sweet together and don’t even get me started on their vows!! Oh my gosh. Not a dry eye in the house, including the two of them!
As is normal in Nigerian culture, they held a traditional wedding in Nigeria (where Victor still has a lot of family), and then also held what is called the “white wedding” – which is what we documented shown here! This was the first Nigerian wedding we’ve shot and James and I seriously loved every minute of it!! Aside from the obvious beauty of the occasion – everyone’s gorgeous outfits and the music that kept the night moving – we also just loved it so much because everyone was SO NICE. Seriously every guest we encountered was so happy to be there, having so much fun, and welcomed us as if we were part of the family!!

We know you two have a discerning eye and are incredibly talented in your own right, so it was very humbling for you to choose us to document your day!! As I said above – you two are truly an inspiration and have something really unique together that you don’t always see with every couple. Never lose that sparkle in your eyes and always keep smiling/dancing your way through life (which I’m sure won’t be hard for you two to do)!! We know you will have a beautiful life ahead!!
