I’ve been meaning to share these for a while now and just keep getting wrapped up with other things – like focusing on getting as much work done as humanly possible during nap time, and hopefully showering every now and then. haha.
I really can’t quite put into words what these photos mean to us. Suzy somehow took all the feelings we’ve had along this long 6-year journey to building our family and wrapped it up perfectly into this sweet at-home session she did for us. I have dreamt of this moment for so long now, and quite honestly – was so overwhelmed with emotion during this shoot – it took all I had to keep it together (until I eventually lost it with happy tears… which you’ll see).
It was so surreal sitting quietly with James in our room, just soaking in the newness of our two babies – just two weeks old at the time. Suzy captured it all so perfectly and I can’t even begin to thank her enough for the gift she gave us in these images. The boys have already grown SO much, and I’ve grown to cherish these even more than I did just a few short weeks ago. Document your lives, people. The time goes by much too quickly not to. I’m so grateful we did, and so thankful Suzy was able to do it for us.
