Michelle + Johnny ~ Butterfield Country Club Wedding ~ Chicago Winter Wedding Photography

Well, if you had told me in early November that we were going to have a crazy snowstorm of a wedding day for Michelle & Johnny’s big day – I never would have believed you!! November up until that point was filled with mild fall days in the 60’s and even 70’s! Then suddenly, almost overnight, the temps dropped and on Michelle & Johnny’s big day – we woke up to snow covered ground and much, much more on the way!! I may be biased, but I have a serious LOVE for snowy wedding days. I think snow is just sooo romantic and as long as people are able to get everywhere they need to safely – I say, bring it on! It makes for such pretty photos and the memory of a beautiful snowy wedding day will be with you for a lifetime! You certainly will never forget the weather on your big day!! 🙂

Michelle & Johnny were such troopers about the storm and took it all in stride! Michelle got a new pair of Ugg boots to wear out in the snowy mess, and after Johnny and Michelle had their first look, she asked him if he liked the snow and how he was feeling in general, and his response was, “It is the best!! It looks amazing and this is the BEST DAY EVER! I’m so happy it’s finally here!!” He was just so stoked to marry Michelle, that no snowstorm or crazy weather could put a damper on his day!! It was so awesome to see their positivity about it all – and I was extra happy they were up for tromping around in the snow during cocktail hour with James and I got some snowy pics!! I could talk about this day forever, and how much I adore Michelle & Johnny – but I’m just going to let you see for yourself – because I’m pretty certain the beauty of the day and their love for each other shines through in these images!

Michelle & Johnny ~ THANK YOU for trusting us with your day and for being such amazing people when the weather went a little crazy on us! You were so good about going with the flow and making it work all day – focused on the most important part – which was marrying the love of your life! You two are such wonderful, wonderful people and we really can’t say enough about you as a couple. I can’t wait to see all you two do together in your life ahead, and we are SO grateful we got to be a small part of your love story!! Have a beautiful holiday season reliving this amazing day!
