We held our Lighting Workshop this past Sunday and had the best time welcoming a sold out group of ladies into our home to talk all things artificial light!!! I originally thought the workshop was going to take 3 hours, but ended up going 5-hours long!!! Ah!! Oops! I had no idea it would end up taking that long, but am so happy the attendees were all up for hanging out longer than planned and learning a LOT! 🙂
I was so busy hosting and teaching that I forgot to take many photos (or really, any at all) – but I’ll share the few I have here!!!
First of all – I have to thank my dear friend, Amanda, who came along to assist me at the workshop and handled the Nikon group – since she shoots Nikon (while I most certainly see it as another language)! 😉 haha. She was so amazing for coming and doing anything I needed as well as rocking teaching a third of the group when we split up to do hands-on lighting!

The workshop was a really good reason for James and I to hurry up and get our house done already (well, at least the first floor)!!! I’m so excited we managed to get just about everything in order (who needs a counter in your kitchen anyway?!) and that this was the perfect excuse to dress up our house for the holidays too!! Here was the simple tablescape I came up with for the ladies to practice reception detail lighting on!

Last but not least – here is the AMAZING group we had for the workshop!!! Everybody was so wonderful – asking helpful questions and really interested in learning as much as possible!! I cannot wait to see their work grow and for all of them to be more comfortable in tricky lighting situations from now on!!!

If you were hoping to fit in the first workshop, but it sold out too quickly – please make sure to shoot me an email or inquiry!! We are planning when we can do another Lighting specific workshop and would love to get an idea if there is enough interest to do one soon! XOXO
