I first “met” Karen (online) when she left the sweetest comment on our blog about our infertility journey and sent us well wishes for our embryo transfer in July! I knew right away she was an absolute sweetheart and was excited to hear more about her wedding (as she mentioned she’d be in contact with me in the comment)! She and her fiance, Dan, were planning to elope in Chicago before flying to Paris for their honeymoon! They wanted to get married in the evening downtown outside of The Water Tower, and thankfully we happened to already be downtown for a shoot the day they wanted to get married – so we were able to make it work!!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Karen and Dan! We officially met them when they stepped out of a taxi at The Water Tower just before they were going to say “I Do” – and I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people HAPPIER to get married!! They were both just grinning from ear to ear!! They were so warm and kind to us, and their happiness just radiated from them! We started their intimate ceremony in the courtyard off of Michigan Avenue and by the time the ceremony was coming to a close quite a crowd had gathered to cheer these two on and see them say I do!!!
Karen & Dan ~ It was such an honor to be a part of this moment in your lives!! You two are truly wonderful people and I’m more than positive you have a lifetime filled to the brim with laughter & joy ahead of you!! We wish you two the very best!! XOXO ~ Christy & James
