I can’t believe I finally did it!!! We’ve been married almost 6 years and we finally set aside time to design OUR OWN wedding album!!! (Some screenshots of the design are included in this post!)
For so long we were like the cobbler’s children with no shoes…. wedding photographers with no wedding album!! Every time I designed an album for our clients and got the beautiful finished product in the mail my heart ached to have our own wedding in print. I couldn’t help but think that our kids and grandkids wouldn’t have any of our wedding photos to look back on other than the 5 photos we have printed in our house!
But worry no more!! We finally finished it!!! I hunkered down on Saturday distraction-free and got it done.
Oh, and we totally feel your pain with choosing photos, clients!! Haha! I narrowed ours down to 250 photos (spread across 36 spreads)!!! Oops. HA! Wow.
I knew that would mean we’d be spending more on the album for the extra spreads, and that even then some of the photos would be pretty small – which was fine, because I actually included a whole lot of scans from the crappy little disposable cameras we left on tables at our reception because I loved the candid moments so much (crappy cameras be damned) and just wanted them in the album, even if they were just a couple inches wide each. (The scans of these pics are tiny anyway, so we couldn’t have made them bigger even if we wanted to!)

(Side note – it’s funny how wedding styles change so quickly over the years! Back when we got married there were pretty much no other options than black suits/tuxes (even though I really looked for something else for our decidedly casual outdoor wedding), and the fit was so much bigger then too! Regardless, I love it all because it was OUR DAY and our loved ones celebrating with us, which in the end is all that matters! Oh and you can bet I’ll post pics of the real thing when it comes in the mail!) xoxo
