“Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever.” -Isak Dinesen
Some days we all need this reminder.
Yesterday didn’t go as planned… Problem after problem arose – our internet shut down and refused to come back on (who knew so much of the work I do relied on the internet connection?!), and I had a hard time in general throughout the day with some personal things, on top of feeling overwhelmed and pretty darn exhausted. You know… the kind of day where you end up finally just crying in the shower in defeat? Anyway, my original plan was to just push through and work and work and work… but the world wouldn’t let me. So I’m thinking this whole thing was a reminder to stop and check myself.
And so I did.
I hit pause.
I stepped out on our back deck and I resigned myself to the fact that I had done all I could do.
And I then I stumbled on the quote above, which really hit home… so I thought I’d share it with you all today (even though this took me about a million hours to do via my phone! Haha).
I thought it was worth sharing because… maybe you needed this reminder too? xoxo
