We had a pretty low-key birthday celebration for Mr. James Tyler yesterday. Instead of spending all day celebrating – I spent the day doing work and making a bunch of updates to my website – while James took a final exam and studied for another. Woo hoo! 😉 (We did manage to head out to BW3 for dinner, and I made him red velvet cupcakes for dessert at least! But we’ll get the real birthday celebration going on Thursday night when he’s finally done with the semester and can let loose and enjoy himself.) 🙂
Anyway – on to the updates, announcements, and beginner workshop information! So – now that I’ve finally figured out how to use my website company, Showit, to its full potential – I’ve been updating my site constantly! (It may become a problem, actually… haha)
Here are a few of the updates I made:
I changed the “Investment” tab to “Information” and added a couple more pages with information (head over to my site to check them out!)…
Including a page about the experience of working with James and I…
And the one I’m most excited about – a page for Photographers with information about workshops and mentoring sessions (which are part of my announcement today)!
As you see in the image above – I’m now officially offering mentoring sessions! I’ve gotten emails from a few people asking if I’d ever consider offering mentoring sessions – and I always said YES!! but then never really did anything to move forward with them. So – now it is official – I’m offering mentoring sessions! They will be tailored specifically to the attendee based on what they tell me they’d like to talk about, learn, and do. I’m an open book and will gladly tell you anything and everything you want to know about how and why I run my business the way I do. I’m even up for heading out and doing a shoot of some sort if its posing and client interactions you need to work on most. It’s totally up to you what your session entails! I can’t tell you how excited I am to work one-on-one with other photographers to help make their business the best it can be!! 🙂 (Click here to contact me if you’re interested in a mentoring session!)
And another announcement – which I’ve been chatting about a lot over on my Facebook page – is that I’m hosting another Beginner Workshop!! I obviously plan to host another Advanced Workshop as well – but that takes much more time/planning/preparation (and help from other vendors) and I know I wouldn’t be able to manage getting one rolling in the middle of busy season this summer. So this time around I’ll just be hosting a Beginner Workshop, and do another dual workshop weekend this fall (I hope)!
Anyway – here is all the information!!
The workshop books up quickly and is filled on a first come first serve basis – and unfortunately I can only take 4 attendees – in order to keep things personal, give you all some one-on-one attention, and to fit you all in my home! 😉
