When I first met Nora and Jeff in early February to grab a beer and chat about their wedding, it felt more like I was meeting up with long lost friends, than total strangers I’d only met moments before. We clicked from the moment we said hello! I could have talked to them about travel, their trip to Lambeau, and Nora’s (and my) big Irish families for days. Instead, we talked for hours… (almost 3, to be exact). To say I really, really wanted to work with these two would be an understatement! 😉 I had so much fun hanging out with them and chatting, that I could only imagine how much fun James and I would have spending their wedding day with them! Thankfully, they felt the same way and booked us to shoot their wedding this coming December! 🙂
We met up this last weekend at the spot where Jeff proposed – the State Street bridge over the Chicago River downtown – to shoot their engagement session. It wasn’t as wonderfully warm as it had been the past few weeks – but the light was beautiful, and we had a great time wandering around downtown Chicago snapping away! These two were nervous at the start (as most couples are), but I told them to just relax and have fun … and before I knew it – they were like seasoned pros in front of the camera!
It was refreshing to get downtown for a shoot and I’m sooo happy with how the images turned out from this session! Don’t these two look fabulous?! I love that they’re always keeping each other smiling. 🙂
Gorgeous Nora!!
I can’t get over this stunning ring!! (And loved the contrast of the sparkle vs. the rust.) 🙂
I’d say these two got ‘the look’ down quickly, huh?! Love this!
They are total goofballs, and I love it. 🙂 haha
These two are actually making me excited for this winter! 😉 I can’t wait for their wedding in December!
