Happy Monday you guys! 🙂 I thought I’d welcome you back after a long weekend away with a gorgeous couple’s engagement session!
This session is bitter-sweet for me, because Julie and Ryan live in Illinois, but are getting married in Arkansas. So that means they hired me to shoot their Chicago engagement session – but are using a local photographer in Arkansas for the wedding. After you see these pictures – you’ll see why I’m bummed I don’t get to work with these two again! (Just gorgeous!!!) Not to mention – they are awesome people that I clicked with right from the start (& chat with via Twitter on a pretty regular basis)! 🙂
They were looking to do a quintessential Chicago shoot since they aren’t getting married here – so they chose Navy Pier for half of the session, and Olive Park for the second half. I think it was a perfect combination of city shots and laid-back nature shots – and I love the end result! (Also – as a side note – I should mention that I wouldn’t mind if Julie to took me shoe shopping, applied my eye makeup, and taught me how to do that fierce ‘smize’ she does! True story.)
