After a loooong weekend of doing whatever the heck I wanted to back in Wisconsin (as long as it wasn’t working <– James’s rule) – I’m struggling a bit to get back into the swing of things (i.e. working). I did get some photo things done yesterday when we got back to Chicago – but in general I’m feeling a little too relaxed to get going like I desperately need to.
So I guess I’ll ease back into this week by sharing pictures with you all from my fun-filled and busy thanksgiving day. We had a relatively small group (for us) this year. The final count was somewhere around 45 people. Here’s a little glimpse into our day!
The crew right before running the family ‘turkey trot’…
Prepping for lunch!
James insisted on putting his beer behind my plate for the photo as well…
I wasn’t drinking two at a time – don’t worry! 🙂
Uncle Joe giving thanks & saying grace…
The remnants of the meal…
Time for dessert! (Including pumpkin pecan praline, vanilla, and cranberry custard… YUM.)
After lots of naps, digesting and a second round of food (leftovers for dinner) – we headed to the local bowling alley to roll some thunder…
We gave up on the pitchers after the first round and went for the “Beer Tube” instead… looks serious, doesn’t it?! ha!
Laughing until we were crying seemed to be the theme for the weekend…
The boys…
You can’t go to Wisconsin without having fried cheese curds (Miles was excited about them too, obviously).
Me looking super cool while dancing with a bowling ball…
Josh looking much cooler while doing his ‘Josh-Josh’ dance…
I hope you all had a fabulous thanksgiving as well!
